Mr. Bill Gates kicked off our first leadership conference in 2003. He challenged us to build a better world. Each IITian considers it a privilege to be one. We believe that we are the builders of the future and custodians of the coming generations. Our global community is ready to take on new challenges and take charge of humanity’s future. IITians are pioneers, risk-takers, and trailblazers of society, strong million-plus community members. Our alumni constantly seek new challenges and problems that can’t be solved, even moon shots. We are seeking thinkers, who can define a new ecosystem that can combat current and future challenges. We have to foster purpose-driven research and innovation.
The Indian Institutes of Technology is India’s premier, autonomous, public, technical, and research university system with more than 500,000 distinguished alumni located in over 100+ countries and 125K current students. Graduates of IIT have made valuable and significant contributions to society in every profession and discipline. IIT graduates are committed and dedicated to research, innovation, and promotion of trade and international cooperation between India and the rest of the world. This year’s IIT2020 conference will be a virtual event, and for the very first time, the conference will showcase several global speakers and events focused on the future.
