Social Equity through Entrepreneurship

Questions;

Do you consider how your business practice affects wealth creation and distribution in society?

Let’s take a look at the role of global business leaders in capital creation. Still, many are wondering if the business has a responsibility to do more to address the deep racial and social inequalities inherent in our societies – a monumental encounter with social justice for business leaders and their businesses.

American entrepreneurs are uniquely positioned among these business leaders to show companies how to help set new standards. Entrepreneurs are the only segment of the working population that can truly develop their means of behavior. Self-sufficiency, risk-taking, and independence are characteristics of entrepreneurs; fair distribution of opportunities, rights, responsibilities, and privileges – qualities of social equity and justice.

The entrepreneurs serve as a context for promoting social justice, empowering people, realizing dreams, improving technology, promoting collaboration models, creating jobs, and re-humanizing the human (social equity).

Social Equity requires much more than a slogan!

  • A fair legal system encourages and facilitates entrepreneurship by creating business opportunities, thus confirming the importance of social equity as part of the institutional environment.
  • We must see ourselves as accomplices in the pursuit of social equity, justice, and inclusion alongside other leading institutions such as government, NGOs, and academia.
  • Educating people that social equity through entrepreneurship is the first step.

To begin with, we need to radically change the mindset and vision of how business can be a lever for positive social change, and this includes going beyond traditional KPIs and diversity metrics that are usually short-term quantitative metrics, looking instead more profound into the quality or effect of those efforts over a period of time.

Whether you work in the commercial sector, government or nonprofit sector, social entrepreneur, board member of a nonprofit or corporate organization, or volunteer, a deep understanding of social equity is a fundamental first step.

When you think of entrepreneurship, think of it as a social justice tool that empowers people, makes dreams come true, promotes new lucrative technological developments, promotes collaboration models, creates sustainable jobs, and reincarnates the fundamentally human nature of business. Fortunately, entrepreneurs and companies have emerged to provide solutions and paths for entrepreneurs in social justice, including franchise models for shared kitchens, farm cooperatives, and business plan competitions.

Before going to engineering school, I used to help my uncle in his business. I remember I must be nine years old; I asked him why he does work 100 hours a week. He smiled and said, you will realize when you will grow up, and I did In my nearly 25 years career, I have had the privilege of working with people from a wide range of backgrounds, from the lowest to the highest levels of government, executives on a wide range of social and economic issues. I have spent the last two decades running and mentoring a few startup leaderships. Most recently working with startups to help rethink their vision, emphasizing equity, a key component.

We need to promote innovation, cutting-edge research and develop people and methods that can accelerate social change. And we are here for people committed to solving complex social and environmental problems, and if you are one of those who wish to live in a more socially just world, you have more opportunities than most people to help with this.

Our mission is to educate the next generation of influential entrepreneur leaders. We work with a new goal to build a diverse and fully inclusive business community, thereby creating the conditions necessary to achieve equity through entrepreneurship. We are also gathering in communities worldwide to mobilize and enhance the skills of 5,000 next-generation leaders on principles and practices of innovation to achieve social equity. Our goal is to define the entrepreneurship framework and engage with credible institutions, private investors, the government, and entrepreneurs to achieve social equity.

Let’s work together to build a better world through entrepreneurship.
